Looming deadlines and project juggling as usual. Fresh from a couple weeks of business in CA, I'm back in the studio struggling to finish TURF #3. Also recently been designing characters for a new Marvel Comics' animated series, illustrating some THOR covers, and providing conceptual art for a Albert Hughes' live-action Akira film at Warner Bros. More on all that stuff as soon as I'm able.....

There are some new images in the portfolio... some Turf comic stuff as well as the cover for the BLVD sketchbook volume 4. The Sketchbook features art from BLVD regulars Bernard Chang, John Paul Leon, Sean Chen, Trevor Goring, and Tommy Lee Edwards as well as guests David Lafuente and Bill Sienkiewicz. It will be available for purchase at the San Diego ComicCon. Visit the BLVD at booth 1223!
[12.28.2009] - farewell 2009
2010 is looking great already with the upcoming release of The Book of Eli (the movie I designed for the hughes bros) and TURF (my new comic co-created with Jonathan Ross). It's a place where you can get more insight into the daily life of a guy trying to raise a family, draw a series for Marvel, paint a Star Wars book for Random House, and generate a pile of illustrations for the Indiana Jones style-guide. [02.19.2007] - Busy Winter
Be sure to visit the BLVD booth this weekend at the NY Comic-Con. Edwards, Leon, Goring, Chen, and Chang will be joined by guest member Walter Simonson. They'll be set-up in Artist Alley- Selling sketchbooks, original artwork, and commission sketches. WORK NEWS.... TLE has finished the illustration chores on Marvel Comics' BULLET POINTS. Next up is Mark Millar's1985. Outside of comics, TLE has started working on a series of nearly 60 paintings for a new Star Wars guide-book to be published by Del Rey late this year. Also on the drawing-board are two new paintings which commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars. These paintings will be made available as limited-edition prints (250 ct) and sold exclusively at the Celebration IV and Celebration UK conventions. Check back soon for updates on this news, along with image sneak-peeks.

The BLVD Sketchbook 2.0 will be available in the stores this August. OR- You can get an autographed copy directly from the source next week during the San Diego Comic-Con. Come by booth # 1701 to visit Tommy Lee Edwards, Bernard Chang, Sean Chen, Trevor Goring, and John Paul Leon. The guys will be selling not only the books, but also prints and original art. Be sure to get on their sketch lists early!

Tommy Lee Edwards is hard at work on the pencils, inks, and colors for Bullet Points. Written by J. Michael Straczynski and lettered by John Workman,Bullet Points is a five issue mini-series to be published by Marvel Comics later this year. Look for promotion to start this summer. The story of Bullet Points centers around an assassination during WWII- Which ultimately leads to a different historical path and alters the destinies of Marvel greats like Captain America, Dr Strange, Hulk, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four, and Spiderman. TLE is also working on..... - a book cover for Random House Children's Books - a painting to wrap the towers of an upcoming edition of the AlienWare game system - storyboards and vis-dev for "The Heaven Project", directed by John Glenn
